Vienna’s Classic & Medieval era
Start of the walking tour at 9:30 am in front of the hotel. We meet our tour guide, who is a real Viennese, and who will share her secrets of the K&K city of the Habsburgs.
During this tour we walk by the classic sights of the Old Town, from the former Winter Palace (Hofburg Palace) of the Habsburgs, to St. Stephan’s Cathedral. We will admire the impressive architecture of the old town, hear stories about the Habsburg family which ruled in Austria for 640 years. We’ll also peek into the National Library, the formerly private library of the Habsburgs, a stunning baroque construction. The tour will end near to St. Stephan’s cathedral, the gothic heart of the city.
Coffee break – before we continue to explore Vienna’s medieval face, we will have an hour stop at a famous Viennese Kaffehouse, where we can enjoy traditional Kaffe with Apfelstrudel or Sacher Torte. Time will be enough for those who want to eat lunch nearby.
