The program in a nutshell:
First day:
We arrive early, on the first day we will explore the city center. Our hotel is in the city center, within walking distance of all important attractions. We’ll set off towards the train station via Dam Square, then walk along the Damrak to the Royal Palace. We will continue towards the red light district, we’ll visit the most exciting streets in the city center, then go to the Waag, „Weight House” that is the oldest non-religious building in Amsterdam. Later if we feel like that, we will sit down to have a delicious Amstel beer in one of the canalside bars and soak up the true liberating Dutch feeling of freedom and acceptance!
Second day:
We rent a comfortable bicycle for the whole day and explore the city like the locals. We can visit a museum, have a picnic in the city’s Vondelpark, and if the weather is good, we sunbathe on one of the city’s popular meeting spots, the rooftop of the NEMO Science Museum.
Third day:
Today we exchange our bicycles for a boat and we will cruise along the canals. We can also visit some famous museums, such as the Anne Frank House or the former studio of the famous painter, Rembrandt (we will plan it in advance, as tickets must be pre-purchased). After the city tour by boat, we will look around the flea market and you can even buy Dutch tulip bulbs at the famous Dutch floating flower market.
Fourth day:
Free time in the morning, shopping opportunities, visiting the sights we missed. We will return to Budapest in the afternoon.
